Welcome to ModernRoots Labs, an American Kennel Club (AKC) small breeder of Fox Red Labrador Retrievers located in Annandale Minnesota, 45 Minutes North West of Minneapolis. We focus on high quality, superior genetics and excellent pedigree in our dogs. Labs are loyal, intelligent, protective and loving. It's no wonder why, they are the number one pick as the American family dog.

Who We Are

We are a small quality breeder focusing on proper testing of genetics, eyes, elbows and hips. We have one male, Birddog's Gauge of ModernRoots and one female, Torg's Zoe of ModernRoots. We have decided to focus on our two dogs that come from superior pedigree to train and intermittently breed, producing some of the best quality puppies around. 
*We have recently sold Gauge to a competition kennel in Stillwater MN. Here he will be challenged and will soon receive his Master Hunter. 
Both Gauge and Zoe are following in their long lineage of Master Hunter and Field Champion pedigrees. They are also in constant training for loyal obedience in the family life. Exposing dogs to kids is important to us. We have young children that help train, take care of and cuddle with our dogs.
